DESCRIPTION:                             

Identifies training needs of industries in the four-county service area (statewide for Environmental programs) and plans, develops, implements, and assesses comprehensive training programs to serve the college’s customers with a profit-based result; utilizes results of assessment for continuous improvement of training programs. Develops and maintains professional networks with appropriate partners to promote and market the educational services of Workforce Development & SCETC to include economic developers, Adult Education, Vocational Rehabilitation, government agencies, and other technical colleges for the purpose of promoting workforce development programs and environmental and safety training and education. Serves on appropriate Workforce Development boards and committees. Works collaboratively with credit and noncredit program personnel to provide quality training in assigned programs and recruits students into programs creating a profit-based result; serves on college committees and work groups and completes professional development activities; supervises assigned areas of Workforce Development to include management and oversight of all programs, increasing enrollment and maintenance of the Workforce Development operation. Serves on the Academic Affairs Dean Council and encourages continuing education graduates to enroll in credit programs to further their education. Expands Workforce development training programs by collaborating with business and industry. Expands adult and youth apprenticeship programs. Supervises and evaluates personnel through the College’s systematic EPMS process. Makes recommendations for organizational efficiency. Communicates personnel vacancies and participates in the hiring process. Communicates and personnel issues to the appropriate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:               

Master’s degree in a related discipline, plus six (6) years of progressively responsible related work experience. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related advanced degree (e.g., Finance), Experience in Workforce Development or Continuing Education, and a background in project management. 

SALARY:                                

$80,000 – $95,000
